1. Who controls your information

Your Naseeb, London, United Kingdom, is the controller of personal information described in this Policy. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@yournaseeb.com.

This Policy applies to our app, web experience, profiles, discovery, matching, chat, calls, moderation, support and related services.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: Firebase user ID, email address, sign-in provider, consent versions, account role and lifecycle status.
  • Basic profile information: display name, date of birth, age, gender, height, location, country, nationality, languages, education, profession and employer.
  • Marriage-profile information: marital status, children, family involvement, marriage intentions, future and relocation plans, polygamy preferences, interests, personality, tagline, biography and icebreakers.
  • Special-category information you choose to provide: ethnicity and information revealing religious or philosophical beliefs, including sect, faith and religious-practice choices.
  • Location information: precise latitude and longitude used for distance matching, plus the city, locality and country displayed or stored with your profile. We do not publicly show your exact coordinates.
  • Media and communications: profile photographs, videos, voice introductions, messages, chat attachments, reactions, reported conversation evidence and support communications.
  • Call information: participants, call type, status and timestamps, connection method and failure information. Your Naseeb does not record or store the audio or video content of calls.
  • Safety and administration information: blocks, reports, moderation decisions, enforcement history, fraud or safety holds, and internal notes accessible only to authorised administrators and moderators.
  • Technical information: device and push-notification tokens, app version, operating context, IP and security-event information, and essential web storage or cookies needed for sign-in and preferences.
  • Referral information: the referral link or code used and resulting account attribution. Device sharing is controlled by you and may pass the invitation to apps you select.

3. Where information comes from

Most information comes directly from you. We also receive authentication details from Better Auth and Google, interaction information from other members, technical information from devices and service providers, and moderation or report information created through operation of the Service.

4. Why we use information and our lawful bases

  • Contract: to create and secure your account, build and display your profile, provide discovery and matching, deliver messages and calls, apply settings, and provide support.
  • Explicit consent: to process the ethnicity and religious-belief information you choose to provide for your profile, recommendations and filters, and to display your selected information to eligible members.
  • Legitimate interests: to protect members, investigate reports, prevent fraud and duplicate accounts, moderate content, maintain service reliability, diagnose failures, enforce our rules and improve an MVP that members expect to work safely. We balance these interests against your rights.
  • Legal obligation: to respond to lawful requests, preserve required records and comply with consumer, data-protection, online-safety and other applicable law.
  • Consent or device choice: for optional permissions and notifications where applicable. You can change notification and device permissions in the app or operating-system settings.

5. Special-category information

Religion, philosophical beliefs and ethnicity receive additional legal protection. Before onboarding continues, we ask you to expressly consent to processing these categories for profile creation, matching, filtering and member-visible display. We record the consent wording version and time.

You can withdraw this consent by contacting info@yournaseeb.com. Because these fields are central to the current Service, withdrawal may require us to remove the relevant information and pause or close your discoverable marriage profile. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.

6. How profiles and recommendations work

We use member-provided profile information and preferences to determine eligibility, apply visibility rules, calculate distance, filter profiles and order suitable discovery results. The Service excludes profiles where rules such as blocking, an existing match, account status or gender compatibility prevent display.

This is automated matching assistance, not a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects. You control your choices and can change profile visibility or preferences.

7. Who receives information

  • Other members receive the profile information and media allowed by your visibility, matching and blur/reveal settings. Matches receive communications you send.
  • Authorised administrators and moderators may access information reasonably needed for profile review, media moderation, support, reports, appeals, fraud prevention and safety investigations.
  • Google/Firebase provides authentication, notifications, hosting, application services and media infrastructure.
  • Neon provides PostgreSQL database hosting.
  • Cloudflare may relay encrypted-in-transit WebRTC call traffic when a direct peer-to-peer connection is unavailable.
  • OpenStreetMap tile services and Nominatim provide maps and location search; requests can expose search terms, coordinates and your IP address to those services.
  • Professional advisers, courts, regulators, emergency services or law-enforcement bodies may receive information where lawful and necessary.
  • A successor organisation may receive information during a genuine financing, reorganisation, merger or sale, subject to confidentiality and applicable law.

8. International transfers

Our providers and members may be located outside the United Kingdom. This means information may be accessed or processed internationally. Where UK data-protection law requires it, we use an adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, contractual protections, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

The protections available in another country may differ from those in the UK. Contact info@yournaseeb.com to request further information about applicable transfer safeguards.

9. Retention and account closure

We keep active-account information while it is needed to provide the Service and for the purposes described above. Individual items may be removed sooner when replaced, rejected or no longer needed.

When you request restart, profile deletion or account deletion, your profile is hidden and ordinary member access ends. The inactive account and related profile data are normally retained for safety, fraud prevention, legal obligations and deletion operations, then scheduled for permanent deletion two years after the request.

An open report or a documented fraud, ban, safety or legal hold may delay deletion of limited relevant information until the hold is resolved. We restrict retained information from ordinary product use. Authentication is normally deleted promptly unless an unresolved safety report requires a temporary hold.

Where information remains in protected backups, it is isolated from ordinary use and removed through the applicable backup-rotation process. We may retain de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you.

10. Security

We use access controls, authenticated APIs, transport encryption, restricted administrative roles, moderation records and other organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the MVP. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Photo blurring and selective reveal are privacy controls, not encryption or a guarantee against screenshots or recording. Report suspected account or data compromise to info@yournaseeb.com.

11. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may ask us for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to certain processing. You may withdraw consent at any time and complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local supervisory authority.

Send requests to info@yournaseeb.com from the email associated with your account. We may ask for information necessary to verify identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Some rights are limited where information must be retained for legal claims, safety investigations, the rights of another person or another lawful reason.

You have an explicit right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Tell us which processing you object to and why it affects you.

12. Notifications and marketing

We may send service messages about sign-in, matches, conversations, calls, moderation, security, legal changes and account operation. Push content respects your notification and message-preview settings where technically possible.

We will obtain any consent required before sending direct promotional marketing. You can opt out of promotional messages without disabling essential account or safety communications.

13. Adults only

The Service is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts. If you believe a child is using the Service or appears in inappropriate content, report it immediately in the app and at info@yournaseeb.com.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy when the Service, providers or law changes. We will update the version date and provide additional notice or request renewed consent where required.
